Welcome New Advisory Board Members!

The Health Informatics and Analytics Program welcomes Chris Blanchette, Saugat Karki, and Yillian Yuan to the advisory board!

Chris Blanchette is now the Senior Director and Head of Real World Data and Analytics for Novo Nordisk. Prior to this role, he was the Director of the Data Science Initiative and an Associate Professor of Public Health Sciences for the College of Health and Human Services at UNC Charlotte. His research interest involves the use of big data to assess the clinical and economic outcomes associated with the use of pharmaceuticals to treat chronic diseases.

Saugat Karki worked as a General Physician in Nepal for three years before coming to UNC Charlotte to earn his Master’s Degree in Health Informatics and Analytics. He graduated from the program in 2018 and is now a Public Health Informatics Fellow for the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Click here to read more about his fellowship.
